Orange County, CA – Celtek designer and well-known Salt Lake City artist Dave Doman suffered a severe head injury while skateboarding in San Clemente, California just over a week ago. 

He and Celtek CEO Erik Leines had just wrapped up some sick new designs when they decided to head down to the beach for a surf.  Always up for some fun, Dave thought he’d shoot the hill on his longboard skateboard and swung wide to hang a right onto the next street.  As he was exiting the turn Dave hit a puddle of water, causing his wheels to slide out and sending him headfirst into the asphalt. 

Doman was rushed to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where he is currently in a medically induced coma, recovering from his injuries.Dave has a long road ahead of him and needs everyone’s thoughts and prayers for a fast, complete recovery. 

Hanging out in the ICU isn’t cheap, so Celtek has released a poster and a t-shirt featuring an original piece of Doman’s art to help raise some funds for our buddy.  All proceeds will benefit Dave and his recovery efforts.  Get yours at www.celteksnow.com

On 12 August the "In Your Face" Anon event went down in the Kunsthalle: project space in Vienna/Austria. We had fashionistas, media people, shop kids, and dealers celebrate a blend of Anon party, pop-up exhibition, and fashion event. We selected people from the crowd for our ad hoc Anon photo shoot and exhibited the results immediately at the party. Over the course of the night the pictures became so popular that some of them got nicked. We had fashion photographer Daniel Gebhart de Koekkoek take the pictures, Bombay Sapphire supply free drinks, Munich-based Portuguese DJ Moulinex spin the records, and the crowd go wild. The 2009 Neptune 500 has come and gone and all that is left for the elite underground teams of tandem bike racers are scars, embarrassing photos, broken bikes, and the dreams of a next year podium finish. Presented by: Circuit City, Chrylser, anon Optics, ESPN Latin America, and Pabst Blue Ribbon, the race consists of tandem teams, mandatory costumes, and seven bar stops of shots. Congratulations to this years winners Ryan Hargrave and Austin Wade. Their drinking skills, strategy, awesome costumes and amazing tan lines made for an untouchable team.
